City Lights - chariot13 - I thought that this image was really a feast for the eyes. I love the contrast of the colors: the bright, sparkling blues of the sky above the neutral tans of a desert landscape.
the clouds & the mountain - tonguecutsparrow - a beautiful song by the always wonderful tonguecutsparrow, who's been on FIRE recently.
A coeur vaillant rien d'impossible - Kavonne - I thought this was a beautiful remix of a great image and a lovely quote.
The Girl who was Ashamed of her Shadow - Metaphorest - this is a great modern day fairy tale that fits in with several collabs. It's very well written (as everything Metaphorest releases is), and the moral is something we should all think about.
ShadowShadow - tonguecutsparrow - a great composition for the Shadow collab. I would love to see more music created for the shadows. I bet each caste has its own sound...
Dear 6am - Metaphorest - another great text from Metaphorest, this time in poem form.
shadow friends - layla - again, a beautiful image for the Shadow collab. Despite the darkness, you can still feel the sense of friendship.
The Dreaming Song (Piano/Accordion) - Madrond101 - I never thought I'd be a fan of the accordion, but Madrond101 is slowly winning me over with his compositions. Great job!
As It Were: A Tiny Story - MattConley - I think this might be the first time I've re-RECed a text record of Mr. Conley's. I really liked this one because it's hopeful and all about recognizing the potential that exists inside of everything, which is something I don't think we (in general, not here on hitRECord) do enough.
Vibes and Feelings - thesherbethead - I really enjoyed the editing in this video; it was pyschadelic and matched the song perfectly.
PLEASE LISTEN TO THE RE-RECORDED EXTENDED VERSION OF THIS SONG!
Inspiration hit me today so I hit record.
The stars look on with scorn
For amysz...and my dear AT-AT and soupy's just...phenomenal collaboration...
There is probably a lot more where this came from, I'm sure...
Once upon a time, there was a girl who was ashamed of her shadow. So ashamed was she that she took a great pair of shears and lanced the thing off. Happily then, she went about her days, shimmer...
I stumbled across this French proverb and really love it. The English translation I found is: "Nothing is impossible for a willing heart." I believe this describes very well our fearless leader!
I remember your soft brown hair in the breeze
As you stared into nothingness
Always thinking of me
This evaporated/ as fast as it could manifest
I didn't trust you/ but I tried my very best
...understandably/ that wasn't good enough for you…
…but it was all I had/ what was I to do?…
I remember the way you opened your eyes
When I'd walk into your bedroom
It was as though I'd saved your life
What has my heart given into?
