I'm figuring this out, slowly. I have ideas and goals for some projects here so I'm getting organized.
based off of the subtractive color TV logo from earlier. i redid the entire image to be more accurate and higher quality. it took me two hours to get everything in precise order, but i'm happy with the result. this has a transparent background so even though according to subtractive color laws the background should be white, feel free to put this on navy blue or paisley green.
can we slap this on some tees, please please please?
because I've been aching to do something designy & fun.
also maybe because I secretly want two hitRECorders to fall in love so there will be a hitRECord wedding. because i think that would be amazing. :)
the fonts are Bebas & Edwardian Script. Apologies for any non-centering/other wonky-ness, I have crappy computer programs.
because what says romance better than cupcakes, music, sex, and hitRECord? :D
I'm an unmitigated sap at heart, so when Pandora went on an angsty-love-song kick today, I felt the need to rot some teeth.
but really, there's no excuse for this, I'm actually just ridiculous. >_o
eta: LOL i forgot to erase some of the lines. this is what i get for being impatient and lazy.
To anyone who has ever felt this way, I'm sorry.
To anyone who hasn't, I hope you never do.

dear hitRECord,
i wish you all a very happy, safe, and healthy new year. may twenty ELEVEN bring you nothing but genuine smiles and happiness. <3
thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this community. i'm proud to say it has made me a significantly happier and more confident person. it is magical. WE are magical. i cannot say thank you enough, but here goes: THANK YOU, again, by heart.
xo, dusty.
p.s. apologies to the city of chicago for butchering your skyline...

I really like the records of this collaboration. And I tried to create a poster for the "video theme" after the one about music (by Marke) and the other one about photography (by alexblackwelder). I tried as much as possible to keep the same style than the first records, even if I think I didn't really succeed... I was in a quandary (that's a strange feeling to find some words in a dictionary which not seem to be true, or simply weird...but we can't do anything else than to trust the dictionary...) about the camera. I thought first to take a picture of my digital camera but I didn't have enough light to do it, so I've chosen a Super8 and I prefer actually this model because it seems more stylish in a way... What do you think? it's to be remix anyway :-) There is maybe a problem of size of the picture... I wasn't sure but I can adjust it easily if it's too small.

I lack a large format scanner so this was the best I could do with photographing and then removing the © material from the collage I made.
(If anyone with mad photoshop skills wants to remove the items I blurred out and replace them with something else that would be awesome.)
I also realized after I made this that it's basically my response to my personality challenge from crispyfuller. It's not a photo, but it does have my photos in it and the entire theme of this pieces was to create something about me.
dear hitRECord and hitRECordians u have changed my life. or at least have been a great part of a metamorphosis i have been going through the last few months. you gave me the confidence to write and made me discover my love for drawing again. after having a 5 year period of neither writing nor drawing this change is greatly appreciated. you made me realize that this is a big part of me and i am happy happy joy joy in your surroundings. i am very greatful for having met all these wonderful people who became my friends, i love you guys, you know who you are! and i am sure i will get to know many more in the future.
thank you thank you thank you

Moi
here is a portrait of me from Japan's Edo Period :D as you can see, I'm so hipster that I wore this RECord store shit before you guys were even born.
... okay I lied, this is actually my sad attempt to replicate Japanese printmaker Katsushika Hokusai's portrait style (seen here) digitally. done for my Digital Arts class.
I've been wanting to try something like this for a while :) I actually made it in a photo studio filled with all these proffesional senior photo majors and their expierenced technical talk so I think nerves kind of kept me from truly going for it, so I'm hoping you guys could find a way to make it ridiculously awesome :)
Took long to make this but i am pretty happy with the results..:D
i used scribbler to make it. i don't know about music? maybe?
:3 <3
This has been an idea tootle-ing around in my head for a while. I wanted to create an alphabet of light painted letters.
Btw. I put this together in humble old Word, (due to lack of photoshop) so forgive any inconsistencies/uglyness pleasies :)
I've put all the photographs/letters/numbers/symbols I took in an album for recorders to remix. You know you want to: http://hitrecord.org/records/379519
This project grew out of my future of moving in the fall and a collection of bottle lids.
My dad loves entering soda sweepstakes, haha, and I always enter the codes for him and one day decided to just start collecting all the lids. For my move in the fall I wanted to create something hitRECord related and thought I could my bucket of lids finally to use. I printed out 64 of my favorite image records & mod podged them to the blue spray painted lids. I'm still not entirely sure how I'm going to arrange them in the end, so this isn't the final part of the project. (If you have any suggestions on ways to display them, let me know :) <3)
***note: still cleaning up resources - at first did it by #s hurriedly, so I'm sorry if I made a mistake & resourced you by accident! those should all be changed by now & still working to find 3 more resources that got lost in the mix :(***
gotta get more (traditional) business cards made, so i might as well get some hRbizz cards, too.. right? highly inspired by Proi's RECruitment Card.. I summed up Joe's words from his Gordon/Whale interview from many moons ago (these words always echo through my head).. and there ya go :D i'm printing a transparent version of this onto dark blue card stock, so if anyone wants it i can upload it..... but it's uber easy, so maybe you wanna take a crack at making one that best fits your hR mantra :D the opposite side of the card will say "I AM INKEDCANVAS OF HITRECORD.ORG A COLLABORATIVE PRODUCTION COMPANY" .. i figured i'd give them the spiel verbally.. so all they gotta know is the address and maybe who i am.. lol. yay us ^__^
Frame 7 Mega Mix is a LOT tougher to work on than Frame 8! Underestimated the amount of work needed to execute the concept but I think this works!. I put Joe, Jared and Marke larger than life because they are "overseeing" the REC room event. (Also because I ran out of spaces in the REC room!.. Joe's script requirement had 20++ people). Besides, it's comical in a way to see Jared stressed out organizing this event..
