I love this tiny story by ruffedges, so when I saw what ElspethKoktavi had done, I thought I would add a voice over and movement to see what happened.
The voice over isn't great quality (am crap at editing audio), so if someone would like to REmix this, and add a different VO, that'd be cool :)

I had a conversation with janetfelts the other day about how we felt about being completely helpless in regards to Japan. I wanted to do something, and, unfortunately, am unable to donate via hitRECord, so I decided to make this video to boost the call for donations.
Thanks to mattconley for uploading his beautiful moon footage, which inspired the poem by penelopeziva. And to the other hitRECorders who made the lovely records shown here.
Music: Sailing on by pasiv

My reREC's for this week (and the week before, and the week before that, etc). I couldn't quite fit everything in that I wanted to; but they'll be in the next one for definite!
Special shout out to mattconley with his hitRECord Network ID video. I liked it so much, I couldn't bring myself to cut it.
Text reRECs coming soooooonnnn.....

A new video, based on RegularJOE’s poem There is that which, without force, isn’t with music by reneg88 (Music for a short film #3) and featuring a couple of my friends who I filmed yesterday.
I’ll say that this is the first video of my own that I’ve shot and edited myself; I’m working at getting better and finding my ‘style’, so even if you don’t hit the heart, I’d appreciate some feedback on things I can or should do to make it better.
Thanks :)
I absolutely love the 'Time is repetition is Time' version by noiseball and metaphorest, and, as you can tell, it gets into your head on repeat and doesn't go away...
So, I thought I'd make a wee video. Hope you like it :)
p.s. special hearts to SFBakstad for most of the time-lapse vids!!
p.p.s. Am still logging all of the resources for this, so if I've forgotten one (it's possible), please do let me know!
I finally had the time to REmix my stop motion scrabble tiles video, so I cut out a bit of it into just this little snippet and sped it up so it wasn't so agonising to watch.
That red button is pretty cheeky!

In response to The Viddler's sudden appearance in our lovely community.
Extra special thanks to Robo_J for recording such an amazing voice over! Truly awesome!

britRECord in 30 seconds...
This was fun! ^_^
(and yes, the night actually felt 30 seconds long... )
As requested, my RE:Cities contribution without music.
BtW, if anyone would like the raw footage I used to make this, just gimme a shout.
<3
I've been thinking about doing this video for a while; I started working on it last week and I had wanted to get it uploaded before BritRECord, but I ran into some voice over issues, bleh.
Anyway, it was after I watched Pamagotchi's beautiful video that I thought, 'Alright, I'm just gonna sit down and finish it!' So, really it's thanks to that video, and then the lovely time I had chatting with other hitRECorders on Saturday that I finally 'grew a pair' and finished it.
So here it is. Sorry if it seems shakey in some places, but I'm a shakey girl ;)
<3
I have no idea why...
Because there's no such thing as pamagotchi in 30 seconds...here's a mere 30 seconds of pamagotchi.
(I thought the song was ironic ^_^ )
<3
I love this song; as soon as i heard it, I knew I wanted to make a video to go along with it.
Hope you like it

A live action version of the tiny story by rowrowrow, put to the tiny tune by eaneikciv and pasiv.
Will be adding resources soon
My versioin of an advert for the RECord store. I just loved tonguecutsparrow's recstore tune, so I thought I'd put something together.
Sorry it's a bit late...better to be barely on time than not at all. Or something like that :)
Hope you all enjoy it!
Love,
'Last Minute' Lis ;)

My contribution to the vinyl collab.
I paced this slower on purpose, because I've always felt that vinyl had a bit of a slow swagger to it.
Very special thanks to Cam_4 for providing me with some very awesome footage at the last minute. x

Suddenly felt inspired tonight...

Words by Metaphorest
Voice over by DayGlo
Music by Ozie
I don't have anything to say about this, other than to say that Pammy and I had a lot of fun making this :)
First of all, a confession: I haven’t watched any of the OWS remixes. My apologies to RyanPatrick, Redheadedmonster and others who have done, what I imagine to be, great remixes so far. I haven’t watched them because, while I think that seeing other remixes can be a great way to take what others have done and be inspired by them, I felt very strongly, in this case especially, that I needed to find my own voice within all of this footage. I wanted to find out what I thought.
This was very much a labour of love for me. One of the things that makes this subject and all of this amazing footage so difficult to remix is that you can’t skim through it. There’s no hunting-and-pecking for the shots that you want. You have to watch. And listen.
Another thing that makes it difficult in this case is that the footage belongs to someone else. It would have been entirely different if I had been the one there filming it; I’d have my memory to fall back on and say, ‘Oh yeah, I remember that someone said something that might be useful here…’. Instead, it’s more of a ‘shared’ memory. In order for me to have a memory of it, I had to relive it.
My goal with this video was to start out slowly and let it build and build until it nearly overheats. Wirrow’s music is absolutely perfect for this; that boy does know how to build up suspense and tension and excitement in his music. However, because I think that the voice overs and descriptions are important, I want to save anyone the trouble of having to recreate it, so I’m going to upload a version without Wirrow’s beautiful music in the background.
Anyway, I’ve rambled enough. Thanks for reading (and watching).

I hadn't planned on making a re:independence video, but as soon as I saw Crane_Crafter's testimonial, I just knew I had to do this.
Final??
Added phen's awesome narration, new green screen footage, totallyjamie's amazing test animation, and titles.
I should mention that this is for Proi's presentation about hitRECord at Podcamp on Sunday (see the collab), hence the titles at the end.
p.s. The site isn't letting me add all of the resources I used, so please see the 's-berry b'laces' album for all of the images/music/videos
Not long ago I had an idea for a video; I chewed on it for a while, but I couldn't get rid of it, so I finally wrote it down.
I enslisted the help of lovely pamagotchi and lovely themetafictionist to RECord their dulcet tones reading the voice over for me, and for the past week or so, I have been compiling and cutting and editing.
It's as finished as it can be for now, but I'd like to encourage everyone to REmix to your heart's content. Jay-9 had reREC'ed the text I put up for the voice over, and said she'd like to hear different voices reading it. I heartily encourage this. And guys, it doesn't just have to be a girl reading it...just change 'woman' to 'man' and 'sister' to 'brother'...or leave stuff out if you want. It's a malleable piece of work, so change it as you see fit.
I'll be updating resources, but please do let me know if I've missed something/someone.
Again by <3
This video started out being one thing and then I ended up riding it right off the rails. Hang in there ;)
I need your help; though I've tried to keep track of resources, I KNOW I'm missing something. One of them is the first dancing person...
So, if anyone notices what I'm missing here, (or if it's your record), please let me know so I can properly resource it.
Thanks!
<3
Got some inspiration from yes-you-am 's awesome stop motion and decided that a little romance wouldn't go amiss ;)
This is without music or sound. Maybe these little guys need some voices ;)
DayGlo was kind enough to RECord a voice over to RegularJOE's poem for me; so I've remixed my own video using his dulcet tones.
Thank you to melanne and crane_crafter for their invaluable advice!

The hR@themovies documentary...one section at a time. Today's episode: The introduction of RegularJOE.
It's not very often that I drop one project midway to work on another, but as soon as I heard/read wirrow's 'Give me all the flickering lights' and then heard RoboJ's version with the synth score, I just knew I had to work on it.
Extra props to LilacAmy for putting together such an amazing album of resources!
A while ago, I edited a video for the vinyl collab, and lovely Mattconley gave me a lot of really great feedback, which i found indispensable.
Finally, I had enough time to devote to having a second whack at it, incorporating more voices, more footage, more testimonials; plus jeffpeff uploaded that amazing footage of the making of the RECollection vinyl and I just couldn't resist using it.
Hope you enjoy it!

With Ali Craig
Filmed on location at Glasgow Necropolis
Special thanks to marcelle for her awesome footage
And extra special thank you to my mate Colin, and Cam_4 for helping film.
So I was only going to edit about a minute of this, just as a test and 'whoops!' finished it. :D
Edited to the beat and using the stop lights footage as requested.
At least I had fun.
A video to the lovely words by mushr, beautifully read by tori, set to the gorgeous score by megancarnes
(btw, I'm the kind of girl who, when her boss offers to order her a taxi on the staff account says, 'No way! It's raining and it's dark...I wanna ride the bus!')
^_^
-- I shot some of this footage myself, so I'm putting this into the 'flickering lights' collab in case whoever's editing it wants to use it.
I love EmmaConner's 'Waiting' Collab and album, so I asked the lovely Phenomenaaa if she could find inspiration for a poem from it.
She's written the most amazing piece, which Pamagotchi then recorded as a voice over.
This is the video that incorporates all of these, using footage I filmed yesterday as well as LizSmall's beautiful stoic footage.
All set to Pasiv's haunting score.
Ever since I released it back in August, 'I Am' has always been one of my favourite RECords. But I've been thinking for a while about remixing it; incorporating more voices, using different footage...
Special thanks to Stevie, who recorded not only a voice over for this, but also signed it in ASL;
And of course, my un-ending thanks to themetafictionist and pamagotchi for recording their voice overs back in August.
Extra extra special thanks to Malicore, who knows more than me about 'gains' and other technical sound-related things, who 'touched up' the voice overs for me ^_^
<3
Left this a bit minimalist, not only because Liz's original footage is superb, but also to leave room for others to add more cutaways.
~x~
Following up on Wirrow's request for the vocals to be added to this.
Special thanks to krrr who uploaded the vocal-only track, umm...6 months ago.
Swapped out a clip that was bothering me and replaced it with some archive footage:

A wee test of The Vision. So before I get stuck into it, what do you guys think?
Should I keep going?!
I know that hitRECord is an 'open-collaborative-production-company', but I sometimes think that title doesn't really sum up everything that hitRECord is about. There are so many friends that I have made here, and I don't even want to wonder what life would be like if I hadn't joined or if, (god forbid) hitRECord didn't exist...
Anyway, hitRECorders, friends, I made this video for you. It makes me smile to watch it, and i hope it does the same for you.
Extra special thanks to ginner and filmpunk for their help with footage :)
See you at the other end.
Love you all,
Lis x
All kinds of inspired by the trailer that lilacamy made that I wanted to have a crack at it, too! :)
