Can you believe it? I've done enough REmixes to create an album!
Here's another of my historical REmixes. I tried to keep it in the same spirit as wirrow's original version. Starting this weekend, I will be focused on getting a contract completed which is due towards the end of January so I can't promise there will be a v.2. Once I see that this video has encoded, then I'll add the rest of the resources.

Love. Passion. Artistry. Excellence. I believe these are born from a fiery heart. We harness fire for industrial purposes. We can create and can destroy with fire. We even celebrate with fire. With the original Everything on Fire video, Joe pays a fiery tribute to the love shared between two brothers. This remix is my take on the fiery heart.

Now, I am NOT a singer. Todd, you don't how much had helped me with this. I listened both to your video for this collaboration and also to your instrumental version of your song Just HIT, hitRECord to get some type of tune in my head.
I recorded myself singing this several times and added most of the tracks in so it's me multiplied. LOL It was challenging and fun.
For some reason, it bothers me that the writing on Joe's shirt is backwards so I flipped the image horizontally on my video edit. Plus, I couldn't get rid of all the background noise.
I've been wanting to do video REmix of a spoken word piece for awhile now. Then I found this amazing poem masterfully written and read by sfdetroiter. I love the phrasing. Plus, the melody from the song Syrnix by tonguecutsparrow is so free-flowing and hypnotic.

After hearing a beautiful interpretation of this song by Lizziemackie and Metaphorest, I knew I had to do another video remix. Given my schedule, I decided to do a 30 seconds or less version.
When I first heard this piece of music, I knew I needed to do something with it. Also, this was a great opportunity to incorporate one of my favorite quotes from RegularJOE.
I just re-watched the video where Joe was recommending Foreign Sounds and he was talking about maybe adding another layer to the video but that he also liked the video bare. Coincidentally, cchellez and I used some footage from the video Noiry Night. For the couple I wanted to feature, I used different footage. It would be interesting to hear people's interpretation of this.

I was trying to figure out what to do for the RE:Independence collaboration. While doing video research, I came across the short animated film 200 and instantly became captivated with the seventies-style Americana motifs twisting and turning. I suppose this REmix is a celebration of the freedom to fight for one's dreams and to create in Joe's words “transcendent, rambunctious art.”
