"The Retro RECord Store Ad" idea is brilliant! It is finally putting to use the great idea by the hitrecord team to have our very own RECorders in their hitrecord gear! I love the oldie twist on the commercials too! It certainly gives it a vintage type feel that I am loving!
"drop of me, drop of you" is a wonderful piece of writing based off of our featured blot story record. It is so simply worded but it says wonders to the image! I love this little bit so much!
"Scrimp N' Save" is an interesting image that really nailed what I was thinking about when I saw the original record...
"the resilience of a soul" is beautifully written, and I see some wonderful pieces, particularly videos, that could come from this. Let's get working on some footage and some readings of it, guys!
"Float" and "When We Were Recording" are wonderful remixes of a stop motion animation that I see being used in videos to represent hitrecord in the near future!
"Paper Crane for Japan" is such a beautiful image that I couldn't resist putting it in my re-recs. Our red button promotion to help Japan might be over, but our thoughts and prayers should still remain with them!
thought id make an album cover for this single
first time i heard the song i thought "scrimp n save" was a southern discount shrimp shack... :)
I didn’t hate you when we broke up (called it quits, ended things, decided to see other people, wanted to take a break, whatever you’ve been calling it -- we broke...
REmixed Messyowl's lovely stop-motion logo with Wirrow's bright, inviting intro. A tiny representation of what HitRECord is all about <3
***v1: NEEDS VOICEOVER - Refer to this script: http://hitrecord.org/records/365503***
Earlier today I uploaded a three line script for the "Retro RECord Store Commercial" I'm making. I wanted to upload v1 of the video without any narration.
The purpose of this sans narration version is to help new narrators time the lines. The only directorial note I have going forward is that the "Again by heart" line will likely come at the end, a few seconds after the "RECord Store" line. So pause accordingly; no need to rush into that line.
Day Glo, themetafictionist, buggzero, and Kavonne have already contributed readings and I wanted to collectively provide some feedback: They're all in the right direction (i.e. old fashioned, enthusiastic, overly emphasized, and diverse.) Plus they all fit timing-wise! I've tested each of the first four contributions against this edit and I'm really pleased with the results!
I've REsourced all of their readings below so that new readers can refer to them.
Note: I'd like to wrap this portion of the "REmix Theatre" commercials up by the evening of Monday 4.4, so please try and get those audio files in before then. Let me know via a comment if you'll need more time. :)
