Twin is so real, witty and wise -the concept of identity is a fascinating one. When I read it I knew I had to hear it out loud - something about the repetition and assonance and word choice and rhythm - just glorious. So here is my attempt. Apparently I can't resist choral readings either. I would love it if people would please add more voices!!!

penelopeziva asked for more readings... so I decided to try my hand. I wound up reading the gorgeous whole, and reading it aloud made me tear up it got so deep inside my heart. (my favourite bit to say, sound wise, was the missed/mystery assonance)

I also wonder what it would be like as a chant - set to a metronome with a lot of people reading it together in a choral interpretation. I may have to record it again...

I've been following this and the resulting conversations with interest, especially being relatively new to hitRECord, but because of that I don't really feel I have much to contribute to the topic (especially as hitRECord has pretty much opened floodgates of creativity that I thought were pretty firmly welded shut).

But I apparently I do have thoughts on the matter, and they came out in spoken word...

Lovelovelove the images and the rhythm, so I wanted to do a spoken word that focused on rhythm especially.

If anyone else (ideally a bunch of folks) would maybe read along, so I could remix it into a choral thing (I tried with just my own voice but wow did that not work) I would really have fun with that...

I adore the idea of this as a multi-voiced chant, so here's my reading...

this one came out rather rhythmic with emphasis on similar sounds... I may try for something more robotic/a match to the original later?

Metaphorests momentous words, with their marvelous momentum, always make me want to stop and read them aloud. So I did :)

Resisting reading metaphorest's words aloud is apparently a great difficulty for me;) Saying these ones aloud reminded me of the meter in the cremation of sam mcgee, which made it extra fun.
