So, this is my version of "My Heart Carries Stones" from amferraro.
I actually fell in love with that song (kind of remembered me of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love"), and I thought it would be cool with some vocals.
That's all, folks.
Accompaniment to Metaphorest's "Petit Soldat".
It is kind of plain and imperfect, but still I liked the way it sounds with the melody.
Okay, it's nothing extraordinary, but I thought it would swing more with some snaps of the fingers.
I'll probably be adding some vocals and a bluesy bass when I have a piano and a decent recorder at hand.
Until then, I hope you guys will like this !
I added vocals to the previous version (http://www.hitrecord.org/records/411132). My own voice is a bit too loud, so I am going the upload the stems right away !
Hope you like it, Lizzienrose, Babbish and everyone :) :)
Like I said to Rainey, I really love that song. And yes, I first heard it in the Coen Brothers' "O Brother", which is very cool !
I added the harmonies that are in the movie's song, a higher and a lower.
Hope you like it, Rainey and everyone !
The idea of it is to add drums with 4 different tones. If you are a drummer, or if you feel like doing the drummer on this, be my guest ! I'll probably upload a cleaner audio later.
(and thanks for the hearts ! :) :) :)
Here's a first mix of all the voices for "Down In The Valley". I did the best I could, this is the first time I do this...
Hope you like it, everyone ! :)
I loved Johnathan's (Madrond) "Unsettled", which was used as Salemome's movie's soundtrack (there is an excerpt on her tumblr, and it's really worth seeing).
I wanted however to add some vocals of mine, and had to find lyrics to put on it. I first thought of Goethe's "Erlking", one of the most well-known german poems which tells the story of a man bringing home his sick child as fast as his horse can go, but the child, overwhelmed by hallucinations, dies before they reach their home. It turned out that the poem was far too long for it, so I chose to write lyrics in French, with more or less the same story.
And listening to this again, I think it kinda sounds like Le Petit Soldat. So, it is only a sad french song in the same vein.
Here are the lyrics :
Le cavalier sans selle
Galope dans la nuit muette
Celle qui se meurt est sa belle
Alors plus fort son cheval il fouette
Parti si vite qu'il est sans selle
Venu trop tard, il est sans elle.
Just a few chords I have found the other day.
I was looking for something to do with it myself, and then I remembered the point of HitRecord. So if you want to do something with it, be my guest.
Spent my morning trying to do a mix with some cool contributions to eaneikciv's "Windy Song", and so... TU-DUHH !
I added little background vocals, and by the way sorry for me singing out of tune sometimes, I just should stop smoking.
Hope you like it ! ♥
I really liked the song by Ryan Patrick, and its lyrics that reminded me of Joe Jackson's "Happy Loving Couples".
For my voice and the rest, I think I can call that self-mockery :D
What, again ? I'm doing what I think I am the most good at : adding background vocals and a simple beat.
I hope you like it, Lizziemackie, I really tried hard so both our voices kind of blend together..
Anyway, I really enjoyed doing this. I hope you'll enjoy listening to it too !
Okay, I admit it, I am addicted to Paris. The lovely piece of text by Pamagotchi woke up in my heart something I'd call Parisstalgia, and I wrote that simple waltzy melody on the piano.
I hope you like it, Pamela ! :D
And if this inspires you some tinyfllm ideas, just go ahead ! I'd love to see pictures with it :)
I changed a bit the tiny tune I did in my "Paris" reading. You can use it however the hell you like ! :)
Here are some harmonies to Jonathan (Madrond101)'s kick-ass song "Blue Ukulele Blues".
I had much fun doing this, Jonathan, you should do more ukulele songs ! :)
I wanted to do something with MadisenMusic's track "Big Bad Wolfblood" and I changed at the last minute for Malicore's version.
This is my very, very first try at doing hip-hop style arrangements, so I don't know.. Anyway, hope you'll like it and/or that it will inspire you !
A tiny something for Syoh's amazing idea (and soon, collaboration ?). It's meant to be a draft, so do whatever you want with this. Something really cool can come out of this if you help me, guys :)
I really loved "Slow Like A Bunny" by Metaphorest and Megan Carnes, and I thought that Ozie's wonderfully wonderful piece was more than suitable for a similar remix. But hey, I don't have Metaphorest's voice. So I reaaally did my best, and I hope you'll like how I revisited this hitRECord classic ! :)
Oh, and I was thinking that some strings, like a cello (!!!) or a violin would fit perfectly with this. But if you play triangle and you want to make a contribution, please do !
This is not completely finished, but I uploaded it to have some feedback, maybe give you guys some ideas.
Okay, I loved Vickie's new tiny tune. Like mirtle said, it really takes us in a dreamy atmosphere, and the image that came to my mind was an old English manor in the forest, on a rainy night. Personnally, I love rainy nights, the sound of rain seems to soothe everything.
ANYWAY !
I added sound effects, oohs, some harmonies and piano. Singers, I left you a blank space in the second part of the song for you ! Rainey, Pamela, Metaphorest, if you read this... :)
What about the sound effects ? Do you think they're inappropriate ? Tell me tell me !
Mamzelle Metaphorest strikes again !
I didn't change the song very much, because I thought the song was very good like that - sweet and a bit caustic. I didn't even add a little harmony.
Hope you'll like my handmade sfx. And my doubtful humour.
(And to those who know the Dresden Dolls : don't you think this song is kind of a counterpart to "Coin-Operated Boy" ?)
I can't say how much I like Jonathan's music, and how much I enjoy remixing it.
I replaced the original ending by something more quiet ! To be perfectly honest, I didn't really know what to do with it, so I just.. Couic. Sorry, Jonathan :/
My dad told me that the piano was a bit out of the beat sometimes, but I'm not too sure. If you really think it sounds bad, I always can record it one more time.
The main volume may be a bit low, but that's the best I can do. I argued with GarageBand during the entire day, so here's the result !
Hope you'll like it ! ♥
I told Ryan Patrick I would try to rap his really cool text, so tu-duh !
If you wonder, well yes, Uffie was basically my main inspiration for this. She's one of the few girl MCs I know, so..
This is my very, very first try at rapping, so please be nice !.. Anyway, I know you guys always are :)
And if you like it, please remix !
I haven't finished it yet, but I wanted to know what you (especially you, Mr. Ryan P) think.
Do you think it's worth working on it a bit further ?
I have found that little lullaby-y tune the other day, thought it was really pretty and decided to make a third harmony.
Hope you'll like it ! And maybe make you kids quiet. Hopefully.
Yesterday, I watched Lizzie Mackie's gorgeous cover from Imogen Heap that inspired me alot alot alot for this song.
Today, I randomly re-stumbled upon thedustdancestoo's tiny story, and this first melody popped in my head. I recorded it and then harmonies and hand claps kind of set up from themselves.
I didn't mix at all, so just ask and I'll post the stems.
Now that I re-listen to it, it makes me think of this video that became sort of viral a few months ago..
Yup. Tell me what you think, I hope you'll like ! ♥
Okay, I don't know what it is. All I know is that it's only GarageBand loops and that it is not the kind of music I usually do. I called it "Kaa" after the snake in "The Jungle Book" because the main melody sounded kind of hypnotic to me.
Oh, and I may have been influenced by JohnnyClyde's wonderful music !
Tonight, I stumbled upon Chig's wonderful song, and then Megan's perfect arrangements, and then Malicore's awesome drums, and finally Rainey's eerie vocals. It was just too much awesomeness at a same time.
I added some vocals to it, I don't know what they're worth but I know I like them. Hope you'll like them too ! :)
To be honest, I consider Pam and Rainey to be two of the most talented singers on hitRECord, and I'm really glad I did something with both of them. I really love this song now, it sounds kind of finished to me.
Hope you like !! x
It snowed a baby bit today, just enough to inspire this baby song !
I like the ending but I'm not too sure about the beginning... Tell me what you think ! :)
The lyrics go like this :
"Snowflakes are landing
On the roof of the old church
I say
Snowflakes are falling
On your hair and on your shirt"
Wow, it's been a looong, long time since I last hitrec'ed ! Nice to be back :)
I heard jcpeterson's "Ballet" and Krr's remix, and instantly fell in love with it. The song was begging to be remixed, so I tried a little something at the end. Maybe it would sound better with the guitar.
It's not phenomenal and kinda sounds like Lana del Rey, but you know. Tell me what you think !
♥
