This reREC album represents a couple of weeks worth of favourites as I didn't do one last week. It also contains what maybe unusual (sorry) things to recommend given they're not that recent.
1. 'Lost Objects: Boy/Girl' by Metaphorest
Such a great mix of the voiceovers and music. It has also started a lot of different takes on videos for it as Metaphorest specifically asked for people to get cracking on visuals for it. Yes, I used 'get cracking'
2. 'Nebulullalovefest' by Lisa
This is what I meant by not especially recent. I just thought it was so joyful and looked like so much fun with everyone singing and dancing to nebulullaby. A great resource that can be used for so many things. It made me play Nebulullaby again immediately afterwards. Twice, in fact.
3. 'Spilt Milk and Crumbled Cookies' by tonguecutsparrow
Such a sweet sounding song but so sad. I wanted to use it for something though I didn't know what but then I saw it used beautifully in...
4. 'My Pockets' by pamagotchi (and also a mention for 'My Pockets' by tori)
I loved the original text record when I first saw it a while back and to finally see it used to such beautiful effect in pamagotchi's video was fantastic. It nearly brought me to tears and I was shocked that this little short video could have such an effect.
5. 'Life is But A Love Force' by Babbish
It seems that with every RECord of Babbish's she is fast becoming one of my favourite singers on hitRECord. I hope this gets a lot of use in the Row Your Boat collaboration.
6. 'A New Hevn Video Story-Board' by LilacAmy11
It's really nice to see all of the pictures for the collaboration so far put together and all the amazing voiceovers mixed so well. It also made me go looking for some of the drawings to have another look.
7. 'Evanesce' by EffervescentEccentricity
Love it. I was clicking on text records at random as I have to admit I sometimes tend to go for the ones with an interesting icon or title. I didn't even know what Evanesce meant (I've since looked it up - nice addition to my vocabulary) but this is a great story which sets up this whole alternate way of seeing this thing that we think we all know doesn't actually happen. I hope that makes sense. Articulate, that's me.
8. 'Time Lapse City Highway' by SFBakstad
Though I'm putting up one specific RECord to recommend - what I'm really doing is recommending SFBakstad RECord's in plural. There's great timelapse video of varying subjects that are great resource material.
9. 'Take Me Home With You?' by horroshock666
A really great building piece of music. The RECord I've put up for it though is a RECord by monkeychow with the audio coming out of both channels as horrorshock666 was having equipment problems.
10. 'But A Dream Video' by Mondo
Makes me want to go slow dance at the beach but I don't have the dress for it.
Horrorshock's piece fixed for two channels because I understand equipment problems and how frustrating they are.
this glorious, victorious, spontaneous celebration took place shortly after the final screening at sundance 2010. i think the joy everyone was feeling, at that moment, is evident in this little clip. <3
Here's a Time Lapse dusk to night over downtown San Francisco taken from Portrero Hill the other night. It was actually a clear night, but decided to add in some rain in AE.

I found this appropriate for the Row, Row, Row your boat collab. A remix of sorts using Chase Horsemen's Life is but a dream and a bit of Joe's poem "There is that which, without force isn't" in the mix.
Chopped up Pammy and day glo's awesome voiceovers to make this story - added music by megancarnes thanks to a suggestion by lilacamy :)
Thanks to everyone who did a voiceover for this - hopefully the others will get used too - this is just my take <3
Now someone pleeease make a video :) I wrote this based on images all available in the Pocket Autopsy collab so that should help!

I love the creation myth project and I want to contribute to it, but I have no skill when it comes to drawing, photoshop, animation, etc. BUT I can collect and organize:)
There have been so many wonderful images coming out of the a new hevn collab, I decided to make a "story board" video of all of them together (inspired by paperlilies's story board illustrations) along with alpal's "uni-voice" readings.
I took all the image pieces I could find (thank you to Danah for making an album with nearly all the image REsources in it! If I didn't add in your image, I'm really sorry, I just didn't see it). If the image had a line or verse in the description, I used it there; if not I put it where it seemed most appropriate (but any of them certainly could be moved elsewhere).
I think the best thing to take from this is the areas where the story doesn't have very many images --- perhaps people who are good and talented at drawing/painting/graphic designing (who I'm so jealous of) can add to those places:)
Hope it's helpful!
NOTE: There are two great animations that just didn't really fit in any one place, but instead almost play like a summary/trailer for the piece as a whole. Definitely check out h~ urth by bloemday http://www.hitrecord.org/records/372642 and Star Tree Animation by JulesKD http://www.hitrecord.org/records/372459
I just realized for some reason the GIFs aren't moving. I have no idea why:/
(I didn't mix the audio track... that is all alpal's awesome work... her RECord is in the REsources:)
I really wanted to put some visuals to tori's wonderful poem, but from the perspective of the girl herself, as if she was looking back/looking down on happier times, and the days/moments leading up to the moment where she decided to take her life.
I hope this does these wonderful words justice
