Basically I fell in love with this tree and I thought it'd be fun to use it to try to teach myself some animation. Mostly just relying on filters and tricks here. ^_^
But you get the idea, which is cycles. That's what I loved most about the New Hevn poem, the idea of everything being cyclic and nothing really ending. That's proven true in science and therefore I believe it's true in general. Nothing is ever really over, it just changes and begins anew. Also, I've always loved the idea of positive and negative forces, yin and yang, opposites etc.
I've just been playing around with the piece Back Then written by dianasev and the music it inspired; Reds and Yellows by amferraro.
A special thank you for the footage to alpal, MattConley and especially to SFBakstad - you are the answer to my timelapse prayers.
Never, ever let it be said that I like making life easy for myself. No, instead of choosing just one of the many lovely texts written for the Pocket Autopsy collab, I decided to choose them all. And then mash them into one mega-video. The result, I'm pretty sure, makes no logical or coherent sense. Or, if you look at it from another angle, maybe it's not supposed to. Maybe it's all new-age and pretentious and artsy. Maybe I did that on purpose. I say "maybe" because I've been working on and off on this video for a week, And part of that "on" was the last twelve hours straight with only stops for necessities like food. Is it good? I have no idea. But it's done.
On the bright side, in the process of making this, I did get a very extensive tour through pretty much every video put up on hitRECord. Ever. You only think I am joking.
