Breaking out of my usual solo piano/orchestral compositions, I decided to experiment with some synth sounds and actually tried to write something happy. This was the result.

This music was conjured up one inspiring evening in the fall of 2008, in my then-dwellings of Laguna Beach, CA ~ RE:RECorded the parts of the original demo guitar loop using my trusty Strat

The title "Molinos" comes from the Spanish word for "mills" (as in windmills) which is where my family's surname originates from. I named it such for the music, in a sense, reminded me of the gears of a windmill.

I was listening to metafictionist's new reading and at this part... well. Yeah. So much more relevant than studying for my astronomy exam. <3

As I continue to listen to the story more little melodies come to mind...

but this is a little somethin somethin to get my idea out

More on the simpler side. I looped that little melodic theme so it'd be easier to remix. I personally like this one better.

I can upload the layers if anyone wants them. I already have it in a folder so.... just ask, so we can have a creation myth orchestra! :}

I tried so many different things with this, but I couldn't get myself happy with too many layers, but I was thinking some breathy, airy, "Hah" vocals in there... from both the ladys n gents.

I'm going to keep that little theme going through some of the ideas I have... probably not the angrier parts with Urth, but I imagine a reprise of it in the last stanzas.

I was working on this track and heard Joe's VO. I thought they sounded nice together, but this is a very short clip as presently this is all of the track that there is. I'm sure that could be rectified.

This is a song I wrote when wirrow first put out the creation myth collab, my own musical myth about the world coming around via the stories of the first of our kind.

I resourced a new hevn because the idea of stories making reality is a prevalent theme in both- as well as the idea that the truth of creation, the real-in-your-mind

Meh, not terribly relevant. But as far as the song goes...I was trying to make it sound like an educational tune, like something that would play in the background of those science videos I had to watch in middle school where everything had a face. A sing-along, if you will. And do sing along!
